GARDEN TALKS AT CENTRAL LIBRARY, WEDNESDAYS AT 7 PM

The Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC)'s Plot Against Hunger program, NoVa Master Gardeners and the Arlington Public Library are co-sponsoring a series of garden talks and demonstrations every other Wednesday evening at 7 pm through the end of October. All programs will be held at the Arlington Central Library, near the vegetable garden at the east entrance ( tennis court side).
If you're thinking of starting a garden at home or at your school or church, this will be a good chance to get some information from experienced gardeners.Here's the March line-up:
- March 14: Crop selection and soils. What crops do well, where & when? Light, water, soil & free seeds!
- March 28: Seed starting. Best methods for starting seeds & seedlings: when, where, how? Free seeds!
